Our Centres

Our dedicated specialist early years children’s centres are located across Berkshire and beyond.

Each centre boasts a friendly, experienced and dedicated team of Early Years Practitioners and volunteers. As a group, they are passionate about building inclusion and improving the lives of children in the early years with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Through specialised programmes and activities, we provide individualised support for children with SEND, from working closely with families and educators to creating personalised EHC Plans. Our goal is to empower every child to reach their full potential with confidence.

We aim to:

  • Seek excellence in our specialist early years intervention
  • Develop a greater inclusion movement and enable more children to
    access mainstream settings
  • Help families to access the appropriate support services for
    their child’s needs
  • Ensure every child transitions into the best educational
    setting for them

All Dingley’s Promise centres offer the following:

Our resource centres create friendly and inclusive environments where children can feel safe, secure and engaged, and families are assured of the best possible care and support from our dedicated teams of specialist early years practitioners.

Learning Through Play Sessions

We are accredited training providers: Ofsted registered Learning Through Play sessions run from our centres during term time, offering planned developmental activities tailored to the needs of each individual child. These sessions allow children with SEND to explore and experiment through play, including structured group and 1:1 activities and unstructured free play. Learning through free play, children develop their imagination, creativity and self-confidence. Following an engaging early years curriculum, children are supported by their key support workers and other staff to reach their developmental targets and fulfil their potential. We aim to give every child with special needs the best early support to enable them to continue their journey into education.

Transition Support

When your child has reached the part of their journey with us and is ready to transition into a mainstream or other specialist setting, we provide tailored support and advice to ensure they have the necessary strategies in place. This support, available through phone consultations, staff visits, or reciprocal visits between settings, aims to equip every child with SEND with the tools they need to thrive in their new environment.

Our family support service, available at each of our settings, offers valuable advice, guidance, and signposting for families of children with SEND. Whether at our centres or in the broader community, our team assists with accessing entitlements, finding additional support and activities, and providing strategies and resources for your child’s development. To benefit from our family support team’s assistance, visit your local centre page for more information.

Inclusive Holiday Playschemes

Our holiday playscheme sessions are for children with special educational needs and disabilities and their siblings (if under eight years old). These play schemes offer fun activities for all the children that attend, tailored to their interests and providing a range of indoor and outdoor learning opportunities whilst giving you the break you need during the school holidays.

Your centre will provide details of our play schemes and how to book these for your child.
