Fundraising is the perfect way to raise much needed awareness of our work whilst also raising vital funds. We are constantly amazed and humbled by the efforts our supporters go to with their fundraising. 

Dingley’s Promise have been supporting children with SEND in the early years for over 40 years. During that time we have shown our commitment to finding new and creative ways to help children to access education and to thrive, we have also recognised the isolation which families of children with SEND feel, developing an outreach service to better respond to families.

Sadly, the challenges faced by children are worsening

Children with SEND are not being given access to early education

29% of families said their child had been turned away from at least one setting

Local authorities are not providing enough places for the growing numbers of children with SEND

Only 4 % of local authorities are offering sufficient places for children with SEND

Early Years Educators are not being trained to effectively identify need and provide tailored support for children with SEND

Stats show a significant gap in SEND training for UK teachers, with only about one-third feeling adequately trained, despite a rise in pupils needing support

Dingley’s Promise is increasing our numbers of nursery places, expanding our training offer, and supporting more local authorities and settings than ever to be more inclusive – but we cannot do this without additional funding.

£20 funds sensory calm boxes for 2 children to help with self-regulation

£50 pays for a 1:1 massage or physiotherapy session to support children with physical needs and mobility issues

£100 funds 4 sessions of tailored 1:1 support for a family

£300 provides 2 specialist staff to run a holiday playscheme for 10 children with SEND
