We work closely with local settings to deliver enhanced transitions which enable all children to move into the next educational setting that is right for them, whether this is mainstream or specialist provision.
Lobby to bring about wider change, making sure that the voices of children with SEND AND THEIR FAMILIES are heard and acted upon
We listen to stakeholders across the sector and collate their experiences to provide tangible and impactful recommendations for change which support local authorities, settings, children and families. Our latest recommendations relation specifically to funding, systems and quality
We raise the early years and SEND in all discussions, to ensure that they are central to policy change and not an afterthought.
Research
We’re committed to understanding the reasons behind the issues faced by families and their children with SEND. Our research gives us a fuller picture and helps shape the future of our support and strategies to improve the early years for every child.
We are currently working with sector partners and research bodies to develop research which explores the growing sufficiency and access issues for children with SEND in the early years.
Our fight for policy change and wider inclusion
We are committed to ensuring that early years SEND is at the heart of government decision making and to providing practical solutions to build a fairer, more accessible and effective early years sector in England.
Influencing PRACTICE
Dingley’s Promise has worked hard to raise awareness of the barriers in the system and the practical ways in which these can be overcome and to raise important issues for children with SEND and their families.
