SEND Reform Engagement Events

For parents and carers of children with SEND in the early years

On Monday 23rd February the Department for Education published its schools white paper Every Child Achieving and Thriving which shares its plan to reform special educational needs and disability (SEND) support in early years, schools and colleges.

Alongside the White Paper is a national consultation called putting children and young people first, running until 18th May 2026.

As early years SEND specialists, Dingley’s Promise would like to invite parents of children with SEND under 8 years of age to share their experiences of the early years and feedback on the consultation. We are now holding our parent engagement events online, making it easier for more families to take part.

These are a series of facilitated online sessions for parents of children with SEND under 8. The sessions will explore the key proposals, break down the consultation, and give families the opportunity to share their experiences, discuss concerns, and have their voices heard.

  • Tuesday 12th May, 12–1pm
  • Wednesday 13th May, 6–7pm
  • Thursday 14th May, 6–7pm

Whether you are able to attend the online session or not, we hope as many of you as possible will be able to respond to the consultation directly to ensure your voice is heard.
