National Impact

Dingley’s Promise has grown from a small charity in recent years and has an ambitious growth strategy which aims to:

Grow our centre support to meet the needs of children and families

Provide tailored intervention to accelerate the development of children with SEND

Support effective transitions of children with SEND into mainstream nursery or school settings

Expand our training to ensure that all those working with children with SEND have the knowledge and skills to identify and meet needs effectively

Develop our range of practical training courses to ensure that we provide information and strategies across a broad range of practical topics

Offer more resources to support parents and families to aid the development and wellbeing of children with SEND

Lobby to bring about wider change, making sure that the voices of children with SEND are heard and acted upon

Provide tangible and impactful recommendations for change to support local authorities, settings and children in relation to funding, systems and quality

Raise the early years and SEND in all discussions to ensure that they are central to policy change and not an afterthought

We are committed to building a more inclusive early years in which all children have the opportunity to develop and thrive.

Research

We’re committed to understanding the reasons behind the issues faced by families and their children with SEND. Our research gives us a fuller picture and helps shape the future of our support and strategies to improve the early years for every child.

We are currently working with sector partners and research bodies to develop research which explores the growing sufficiency and access issues for children with SEND in the early years.

Our fight for policy change and wider inclusion

We are committed to ensuring that early years SEND is at the heart of government decision making and to providing practical solutions to build a fairer, more accessible and effective early years sector in England.
